The Kona Diaries

Lovers of Hawaii, lovers of life, get set to come face to face with your truest desires in Kona Diaries—a sweeter side of paradise, never before revealed—until now. It’s true: research and writing for the much anticipated Kona Diaries project is fully underway.

Inspired by real life testimony, Kona Diaries takes readers inside a lost Hawaii that few have known with an epic story of love and struggle at last recovered for a wider audience. Set in the 1930’s, the story follows signposts left by a courageous and wild-minded young woman who dared to leave all her accomplishments on mainland USA behind, to become part of the ‘big life’ on Hawaii’s ‘Big’ island.

Plan to escape to the heart of paradise with Kona Diaries. Pre-register here to be among the first to discover this exciting and original roadmap to a life filled with adventure and passion. Plan to give love a chance to change your destiny.

Hawaii-born writer and adventurer Dr. Tom Eshelman will leave his North Carolina home and return to Hawaii on a mission to research the lines of destiny drawing the lovers of Kona together from far across the Pacific. Tom will also be working to track down the history of the characters you’ll meet in the Kona Diaries. He will be in Hawaii and from there will travel by plane and boat to select locations in the remote Marquesas Islands. If you have special insight into life on the old Kona coast or if your family lines stretch from Hawaii to the Marquesas contact Tom today.

Tom sent dispatches about and from Hawaii to gifted Canadian wordsmith, Andrew Muir, who skillfully helped formulate the initial chapters. Tom now continues with the project, injecting considerable local flavor. He does this with the assistance of his granddaughter, Meagan Casavant, who is truly gifted with words. Meagan is assisting Tom with research and writing.
